a milder version than the previous trip i had in 2006 cause this time i went with my family so no hanky panky or monkeying around at the beach til 4 am hahaha and no superbikes (honda cbr) this time with the lovely kulit tembikai helmet. i didnt even go on any tuk tuks, i walked for miles over and over the same strip, Bangla Rd where most of the action is. seeing the same scene of pole-dancing and ugly hookers with cute caucasians (the old ones doesn't count) is not a shocker anymore. no one tried picking me up this time, i guess cause i wasn't dancing i just stood and walked hahahah and i've found a new club, Club Lime. its WAY better than Banana Disco.
andrew, donat, jeff, ken and fad...take your pick heheh
breakfast by the beach. my hotel is the most convinient accomodation around. it's a minute walk to Bangla Rd, in case u wanna get wasted and do not want to walk too far to hit your pillows, and its exactly at Patong Beach. the downside? its about rm400 per night, but hint hint, my room overlooked the pool shower so i just sat at the balcony, put my black wayfarer shades on and oogled hot soaking wet 8 packs woot! nothing beats that. hhaha but seriously, the hotel is full with good looking ppl, no sleazy backpackers or smelly ppl. =)
the indian ocean
i went body boarding in the evening, it was right during a downpour but it was nothing new to me. however, i had no idea that i was in the middle of a circulating current so i went deeper into the sea without realizing it at first, and when i felt that my feet couldnt reach the bottom anymore, i tried swimming back to shore. the harder i tried to swim, the further i was from the beach. i freaked out, i told jack i was too tired that i couldn't swim anymore and he gave me his board. i told him to just hold on to it as well. then we heard screaming. turns out that there was this arab couple asking me to come to them to share the board they were also drowning at that point. i tried swimming to them but the current was too strong. i swallowed quite an amount of saltwater but i managed to wave to the people on the beach. one of them came into the water but didn't want to go further but he directed us to swim sideways slowly in Thai. it took quite a while but we managed to get back to land. i thank God cause the only thing that kept me struggling was the thought that i wanted to see ubey again and i dont wanna die where thousands of ppl had died. I swear that the water was so furious and i never felt waves that strong in my whole life, ever. the arab guy came and thanked us for helping, im not sure which part we did so but we were glad everyone was ok. his wife went up the the room, i guess she was mortified and traumatized as her top came off while she was struggling. pity kan? the wife couldn't swim so the husband carried her not knowing the waves would get bigger. when they were drowning, the wife panicked and pushed her husband into the water hahah macam sial je and she choked him scratched his neck and all. he was bleeding like crazy but they were ok. if it were me, it'd be fucking potong to have something like tht happen on my honeymoon. IM GLAD I LIVED TO SEE ANOTHER DAY i swear i thought i was a goner. sigh. kalau tak mesti korang dah kenduri kan? hahaha
on the way to jungceylon mall, we dropped by at a rock club, Rock City and took pictures with the metal recycled scraps outside that was made into beautiful structures of Alien and the Predator.
one thing that we found on the beach were small dead fishes which was in one line. im not sure whether it was a normal phenomenon or what, but it sure freaked us out. there were tons of ppl taking pictures of it and it immediately reminded me of the incident before tsunami where there were tons of dead fishes on shore before the big waves hit. i was praying hard the tsunami siren wouldn't blare and it did not. phew!
went to the arsenal FC flagship store and borong-ed like hell cause there isn't any in Malaysia and next time i won't be stuck wearing the same ol guys jersey or the yellow sleeveless ubey bought for me.
the skirt's a bit too short and there's a big gaping part on the back but i love the material and cut so i bought it without thinking twice hehe
and this neat lil lipgloss with cool packaging. liked it cause it looks like Benefit Cosmetics but it was only RM30. tastes nice and smells like chocolate. the colour's pretty subtle too!
AirAsia serves 1901 New York Chicken Hotdogs on board but you have to put the condiments yourself. they'll give you a bare hotdog and bun, and also little packaging with relish, ketchup and mayo. they even give you an instruction guide on how to assemble the whole 1901 look. i gave the hotdog a little twist with my own mayo zigzag thingy and extra black pepper hahah. looks nice innit?
ok, that's about it. this week's gonna be hectic but it means there'd be more stuff to blog about.
