finally, after choosing and editing and resizing the photos, i'm posting this blogpost about my Hong Kong trip.
went there during the Chinese New Year and honestly, i saw too many reds but i didn't get any red packets... =(

remember when we used to buy coke in the glass bottles? hahaha they still serve it in hotels over there...
Second day, dad took a half day tour around Hong Kong Island tourist spots. sadly, its abit far from the place where I was staying at. I stayed in the Mong Kok area on the mainland and you have to cross the river to get to the island so I didn't get to visit the lomography asia shop for my colourflash =(
first stop, early in the morning was a famous temple on Hollywood Road.
since more people are flocking the place to do their prayers before the New Year, there were too many incense burning that if you're not used to the smell and smoke, it'll make you dizzy.
i did manage to get some nice shots though
=)
=)
at first i was like, hmm poyonya nama hollywood. but apparently the name of the road has been there older than the LA Hollywood. and its cause there were many holly trees back then when they named it. =P
coverline much?
next stop was Victoria Peak, a hill up in Hong Kong island for the view.
it was too cold that i HAD to buy boots. cannot tahan. and internet weather forecasts is fcking unreliable la damnit. it was colder than expected hahaha so terpaksa la layerkan baju banyak2.
btw, its so nice to have a mall up in the hill, but then again i don't get it why people still buy haagen dasz in winter...tak sejuk ke? like....HELLO?
down at the sea level, went to see the fishing families - yes, they live in those boats.
main source of income? duh hehe
passed through the Jumbo floating restaurant that appeared in one of James Bond's movies
and dropped by at Stanley Market by the seaside. didn't buy anything though. but the Al Fresco cafes there are fabolous. they look like those you'd fine in France or Ialy..maybe it's just the cold weather that gave the ambience lol
hahah...JC bus. i think the weirdest car i've seen was when i was in Pennsylvania where the new Volkswagen Beetle was modified into a full body Pikachu... 0_o
went back to mainland and shopped at the famous Tsim Tsa Chui area. not much stuff though cause its more of an upscale area with all the designer labels.
third day, walked to Mong Kok area to shop where there's more affordable brand names. there's also a few markets like Petaling Street but wayyyyy better with more varieties.
and to think that it was CNY and I was expecting all the shops would be closed, boy was i wronnngggg. Instead, the shops were open till midnight offering up to 90% off =D
Day 4 - off to Macau for some casino action!!! hahaha kidding.
went for sightseeing but did go into one of the famous casinoes lah.

Highest bungee from a building, if you're up for it. it was too cold to do so anyway.
btw the roads in Macau was super lawa. i think its cause they use it for the Grand Prix.
to another temple on CNY, and it was my first time seeing an incense stick THAT big.
i guess the person who burned it must've sinned a LOT or maybe he just had to make sure his prayers reached God and smother him with all the smoke. =P
went to Stanley Ho's new Grand Lisbon hotel and casino where they displayed most of his art collections - a must see!
back to Mong Kok for some midnight shopping
hanie, i like the last two pics tu. cantik nyaaa!
