i'm back from melbourne and have received this special package from new york
=)
*********
Melbourne was awesome, didn't want to go back *crossing fingers i can transfer there*
if i knew monday was a holiday i would've went back on monday instead sheesh
and it's a nice thing tht i'm free on mondays and fridays this semester so I can have long weekends to travel. or maybe even balik kampung to medan and jakarta =P
********************
The flight was about 8 hours but we had to make a 2 hour pit stop in Bali to pick up stranded passengers from the day before due to some technical difficulty 0_o
oh, and there was the plane made one deathly drop that scared us passengers and even the crew.
I hope that would be the first and last cause it was damn damn damn scary.
and this was the first landmark I saw when I reached Melbourne
Andrew dropped me off at Dan's who let me bunk at his place for the whole trip (thanks dude!) and I zonked off straight cause it was already midnight and I didn't get much sleep cause the old man beside me couldn't stop talking lol
next day woke up REAL late and went to buy groceries and bottles. Walked around the city with my tour guide, Dan hahaha
went back and I decided to cook before we all went out to St Kilda
who ever said I can't cook at all? haha
got ready and made a move to St Kilda to just chill. Apparently there was a hippie market and it was their last day so they finished it off with a night of partying and fire-twirling.
poi and staff fire dancer, no fans as far as i can recall
truth to be told, it kinda fueled me up to start playing with fire.
I just had to have my own slow shutter photo too! haha
brought the sucky camera cause dslrs were not allowed... T_T
Dan brought me to the Lord of Fries for their famous icky looking fries with chilli beef and cheese haha
and off we go to this super awesome place in the back alley of the main street, St Jeromes bar
heard its closed already =(

I can't remember when was this but Andrew decided to bring us to Crown to increase the earnings for his Nintendo Wii fund hahaha
andrew and Dan bersama toyol tersayang...
and he brought us for kebab at Flemingtons at 4 freaking AM in the morning!!!!!
I was dozing off on my lamb kebab by then -_-"
that was some freakishly good unhealthy late night snack
oh and the only souvenir (other than the cash) i got from Crown was the Poker cashcard lol
that weekend, Dan decided to bring me to the outskirts of the city (such a good tour guide lol) to his sister's place in Geelong, just about an hour away by bus/train
the first stop we went to once we reached Geelong was the town where the Peko fest were held annually. Talk about good timing!

no beer fest would be complete without a street fight hahaha
and lucky me, I met a REAL life Johnny Bravo
Abit sloshed and tired from the heat, his sister brought us back to her home in Torquay, about half an hour away from the Geelong town, near the beach.
AWHSUM gila and the place was BEAUTIFUL!
we unpacked, had a few drinks and headed off to the beach for a swim
yes, it was THAT beautiful
home, greeted by Billy, his sister's adorable dog. HUGE but manja haha
had an awesome dinner and went to sleep after a movie. Next day, woke up for a tour around town with Dan...
went to a few different points at the beach for some photo op:

view from the main road towards the beach
I ended up sitting in between the bushes with the towel covering me throughout the entire outing with Dan's second sister cause it was too cold
=P

went to a few different points at the beach for some photo op:
Danger point, Torquay
the wind was super strong that you can even go kite-surfing but there were too many huge rocks that it kinda looked scary especially when the surfer had difficulties trying to stop the kite from getting blown too far away.
Dan decided to treat me to one of the best Fish and Chips in town and we drove to one of the highest point at a nearby beach while watching people surf, and camwhore...again =P
all sorts of things in fried batter. i swear it's damn damn damn good even when it's a lil bit soggy.
full stomach, happily burping, we continued to camwhore where one of the photos turned out as the header of my current blog ;)
had a BBQ dinner with the whole family that night and slept early cause we had a train to catch
the first thing I got when we arrived in Melbourne?
a big tray of thick, fresh sashimi for only AUD8-10
AND
tickets for Coldplay's Viva La Vida tour!!!!!!!
I decided to call up Renia and Aisyah one day, hung out at their place and went out for one crazy night.
went to this really dingy karaoke bar at Chinatown but man, that was one of the best nights I've had in a while.
Renia, Aisyah, Lye, Brenda and Sher (Project Muffstit)

so we all just chatting around until I saw few familiar faces, turns out that the Monash girls were there!
and the night just got better...and crazier cause everyone are just hyper and happy people ahaha
that's prolly the cutest bouncer I've met..ever!
karaoke taiiimmm!
and this, is prolly the friendliest bartender I've ever met

okaaayyyy folks, I think this is the best part of the trip..
THE COLDPLAY CONCERTTTTTT
woohooooo~
I won't say much I'll let the photos do it cause it was just supercalifragilisticexpiadolicious!
I teared a little =P

my God, we looked like siblings HAHAHAHAH

Chris Martin's oh so yummy

Yellow
Lovers in Japan
So far, I haven't been to any concert that could top that one off, maybe only Lady Gaga would.
and this, was the hottest day in my Melbourne trip cause it was the day the gust from the bushfire went around town...blew off a few umbrellas at the gelato cafe we were chilling at
met up with Wilson and his friend
and we decided to head to Cho Gao during the day for some Happy Hour time
oh and on my second last day there, we had a shoot for Project Muffstit
I did Renia's makeup too!

there were other sweet memories during this trip with my friends but I'm too lazy to write and I'll just save some to myself =)
