people who knows me well will definitely say that i have this obsession over cosmetics. i'll keep buying new products even though i'm not gonna use them and my weaknesses are makeup counters and also pharmacies.
make up items that i highly recommend to last you a lonnnggg time are:
- M.A.C black eyeshadow pot and lipgloss in nude
- Body Shop slanted brush and face brush
- Lancome Juicy tubes
- everything from Benefit is awesome
- Stila lipglaze
- Shu Eumura eyelash curler
- Elizabeth Arden pencil lipliner in rosewood
- Estee Lauder eyeshadow set
and below are the things that i've recently used and found to be really good:
foundation: Loreal sheer cashmere
for dark circles and covering spots
Eyebrow: Maybelline eyebrow filler
looks more natural than using pencil

eyeshadow: Victoria's Secret Very Sexy by Heidi Klum
the emerald green colour is to die for and suits all skintones

before applying any eyecolour/liner, make sure u apply a nude base colour to even out
Eyeliner: Revlon colorstay in black
this is the blackest crayon eyeliner so far and it glides on the eyelid. very smooth and easy to use.

eyelash curler is a must have no matter what brand it is!
Brushes:
Check the type of bristles first cause cheap brushes are harsh to the skin and will cause wrinkles in the long run.
however, i found super cheap brushes with super good bristles and very soft. feels similar to the Body Shop's brushes and costs only 1/10 of the price.
bought em at SaSa.

Mascara: Maybelline Volume Express Cat Eyes Mascara.
This is my fave so far. I've tried on tons of Mascaras and loved this one to bits. none of those super expensive ones did what this has done to me.
the brush is like a plastic comb instead of the normal bristles u get with any other mascara.
you need to practise applying it to give it a more defined look. makes mine looks extra long and I don't even need to use fake lashes for that. I tried it on a friend who has super short lashes and it still worked wonders. very very good buy. lasted me the whole night even when i splashed my face with water!

Mascara: Maybelline Turbo Boost
If you want thick and dramatic lashes this is the mascara for you. However, it can be a little heavy and brings down the curls in your eyes. needs careful application though...love it for nights out.

Blusher: Silkygirl blusher in Honeywood.
I prefer powder blushers cause it's more natural than mousse or cream and this one suits bronzed skin. i'm not a fan of pink blushers, i prefer peach or bronzers...if you like bronzers, i recommend stila's bronzer.

Lipcolour: Loreal Color Riche in creamy berry
THIS IS THE BEST NUDE LIPSTICK EVER. it's not too nude that makes you look pale cause it has the pinkish peach tinge to it but still super natural. and it's creamy so it glides on the lips easily.

Lipcolour: M.A.C lipstick in bombshell
this colour is a little metallic so it's supposed to go over another shade of lipstick. gives and illusion of fuller lips especially when applied in the middle of the lower lip.
Tip from me: to make your lips look plumper, apply lipstick or whatever from inside of lips to outer side rather than from side to side. apply bit by bit by blotting it on the lips until u reach a desired colour don't just glide every freaking thing on man... the lipstick will just float on top of the lips instead of blending with the skin.

ReplyDelete@ all - glad it helped )
ReplyDelete@nadia - i wash it with the johnson's baby shampoo and keep it in a makeup bag, mcm pencil case je but for brushes only. some of the brushes esp yg beli kat sasa memang ada container dia so easier to keep.
Cool, I'm planning on buying the maybelline for eyebrows! Can't wait to go shop -_-
