Lion City Down South

Due to my latest spree at

Cotton On

and also at the recent Zara Warehouse Sale

Dad decided that it was enough shopping for me and limited me to only SGD500 to spend on my trip to Singapore. Let's see how it fares out:

took an Aeroline bus which costed RM169 return cause we left on a Tuesday

left from Sunway Lagoon and took a break at Pagoh, where we took a 'breather' haha and kinda camwhored a little.

oh did I mention that they serve SUBWAY SANDWHICH on the bus for lunch??
om nom nom

by the time everyone else finished their lunch, I was still putting on the condiments and then only started pigging out. hahaha typical me, have to make my food look good just like how I did the 1901 hotdog in AirAsia flight from phuket lawl

oh and this was the part where we camwhored without Julian wahaha

damn I looked like i injected my upper lip...damn retarded  -_-"

went through immigration (what a hassle) you gotta carry your bags etc down to be scanned and all queue for passport checks &*($)@#$#%$*#($@ I hate going through customs it always takes ages. and the bus finally reached its destination and dropped us off at Harbourfront MRT which is near to the spanking new Vivocity. Waited for Daryl to pick us up and headed straight to the Hostel we'd be staying at.

I SWEAR TO GOD GARMIN IS THE MOST USELESS PIECE OF THE GODFORSAKEN GPS EVER INVENTED!!!! I'd rather use google maps. it keeps losing satellite signal and after a while we ditched that bitch with the annoying monotonous voice and relied on the map instead. FUH lagi senang.

Arrived at Aces Lodge @ Siglap and OH MY GOD, for $18 per person, per night? that was some super clean homey place with super friendly staff. so basically, we're only paying about $90+ per person for 6 days and 5 nights. not bad not bad. and yes, there are NO curfews although it is much appreciated to keep our voices down after 10pm. the living hall at the top floor? is for us to chill at, play board games etc. toilets/showers are sharing(like a typical backpacker's hostel) but mind you, they are VERY VERY clean.

So we unpacked, took a power nap, showered and only went out in the evening after texting Fai and Anita on our next destination.

getting ready to roam the streets of Sgpore on a tuesday night...

and after getting stuck in the jam near orchard we finally reached our first spot on the trip

Cuscaden Patio (right opposite Hard Rock Cafe) for their Tuesday's special ($10 per jug of San Miguel)

I can sense envy coming from Choeness  =P

...rubbing it in summore, it's $10 all night looonnngggg

and my target for the night? their SUPERFCKINGYUMMY chicken wings.
I think I nearly dieded from the wings lah! it was super imba, must try!

can tell the place is quite popular with the local crowd as its filled in up to the point people were drinking and eating on the stairs by 8pm.

oh and haters comments regarding the drinks in the pictures will be deleted. Please note that it is a bar and restaurant, and I've friends who drinks. Thanks.

If you think it's a sin to eat at a place where they serve alco then I'm not the only one doing so e.g Chilli's, TGIF, Sushi restaurants, Steakhouses etc so SHADAP!

left the place at about 10pm and headed to the hostel where the tire kinda ran flat so had to change it.
Got stuck in a petrol station till about 12 changing the tires and used the stupid Garmin, which got us lost at the same turning like 10 FREAKING TIMES??? for TWO BLOODY HOURS.

seriously, Garmin can go suck on my non-existent left nut

finally got to our hostel at 2am and I slept like a log.

woke up next day to a mission...
.
.
.
.
.
SHOPPINGGG!!! hahah

First stop: Murtabak at Arab Street.

wajib woh I eat this murtabak.

I think it has been there for as long as I remember haha

after the fuel has been filled on this tiny truck,

off we went to Bugis Street, Bugis Mall, Far East Plaza and all the way along Orchard road

Christmas decos everywhere!

and we kinda went bonkers at the Havaiianas store cause they offered buy 2 free 1

Zenny bought me a pair that matches his!

I got new selipar woohoo! lol

oh not much photos cause we were too engrossed in shopping. I tell youuuuuu I was not the only going "OHMYGODWTFBBQ cheap cheap cheap!!"

the boys also went all Isla Fisher lah when we were at Bugis Street.

konked out from the walking and left about 6-7ish to our hostel to put all the stuff down

sumpah tak kelakar dohhh bila tengok balik. Couldn't even nagivate our way through the room ok!

OH and Zenny also bought me a pair of super high cut Nike boots.

went back out for dinner after shower to a nearby gerai that sells SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIADOLICIOUS IMBA fried rice with crab meat and stir fried bok choy and sweet and sour chicken. FUAH. meal for 5 people only $44.50.

(the shop is just some chinese coffee shop in front of wizard of paws at East Coast Road)
imba or not? no photos cause we were whacking like mad cows mintak ubat.
we then drove out (cause no ERP after night time haha) to Clarke Quay to just chill and take photos.
It was ladies night but I think we were all too tired to club.

we saw this geoduck outside the aquarium of a high-end chinese restaurant...
ehhhhh i know what you guys are thinkingggggg~  naughty naughty hahaha

walked around and saw the clinic...I personally think there's nothing much on Clarke Quay to shout about...it's more like laundry bar rather than Changkat so we just sat down at some dingy Australian Bar Pink Elephant for some drinks rather than spend so much at the overrated Clinic.

Walked around after that and went back for another round of crab meat fried rice and slept my night off while the boys went to play Left4Dead 2 at the cyber cafe next door.

Next day, Anita went back to KL while the rest of us are up for round 2 of shopping!

btw all of us were so excited to wear our new shoes. the boys got their Vans and I got me Nike's

Daryl's

Julian's

Zen's

even the inside soles are super adorable!

and of course, MINE!!!  loveloveloveee (thanks baby!)

wearing my new denim blazers bought in Bugis and a checked tank with the Pull&Bear bandage skirt

the boys bought more stuff at Cotton On and I kept chanting

"my will is strong, my wallet is closed, I don't need to shop"

WAHAHAHA

it sorta worked but I was paying mad cash out like charity on food leh  -_-"

major fail!

and everyone kept eyeballing the shoes...I lAIKKKK!
means it's done its job hahaha

Dinner at MOS burger

from top: frozen strawberry with cream, unagi and seaweed in rice burger and yakiniku beef slice rice burger

OMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I also had the chicken skin yakitori by ToriQ but I was too busy chomping it down to take pictures of it but trust me, it was the best greasiest yummiest piece of chicken skin OF ALL TIME...OF ALL..TIME

trumps KFC's hot and spicy chicken skin anytime!!!

went back and slept like a log...again. konon nak keluar la take picture at Esplanade and stuff but by the time the boys got ready I was fast asleep so I guess they all went yumcha without me hahaha

Next day wanted to go out to Sentosa but it was raining and everyone woke up late cause they went out til about 4am  -_-"   sheesh so we cancelled the plan but decided to check out harbourfront and Vivocity instead. Met up with Jeremy Hu for a drink and chilled by the decks near the port for the Star Virgo Cruise Ship. The boys finally brought out their DSLRs and made full use of it chit!

Let's say I was quite satisfied with my photos on that evening:

Nikon d40x with a 50mm 1.8 manual lens

see! the lengths we go to get good photos! people were looking at Julian's butt while they walked pass us HAHAHHA

more sunset photos from my camera:

my fave out of all

taken through those spherical thingies that were on the pier,
looks like it was taken through a snowglobe innit?

this photo suits the lyrics from Owlcity's song 'Fireflies'

"I'd like to make myself believe that planet earth turns slowly"

we decided to go to Little India, have cheap dinner and have a view of the place.

and went back straight. tapiiii sempat lagi tu camwhore while waiting for the MRT wahaha

finally woke up a tad bit earlier than usual and semangat nak pgi Sentosa Island nih...
jengjengjeng the rain decided to pour that morning lah kannnn

memang awesome possum colloseum betul!

but we decided fck that, hujan pun hujan la sentosa tetap sentosa.

when we reached sentosa it was still raining so we ditched the beach and went to the nature trail instead. at least the trees can shelter us a little from the rain haha

these are the photos me and Zent took with my d40x (50mm 1.8):

Zen found two bugs mating and when I got to them one flew away and one was...shitting  -_-"

nvm bug, go go do your business. I won't kacau.

oh and I turned the picture on the bridge into black and white and I contrasted and played with the color balance a little

oh I took a picture of the Merlion, the fake one in Sentosa but I didn't really like how it came out esp when the sky was gloomy after the rain pfft  -_-"

oh and we did not go on any of the rides cause we thought it was a little bit exy at above $10 per ride...hey I'd rather spend it on a dress at Bugis or on a good plate of food...right?

I realised on the way back from Sentosa Island that if we go back and shower before dinner I'd drop dead from hunger and since Clarke Quay was super near, I wanted to just have a nice and proper dinner before we head back to KL.

So, off we went to.

Hooters Chicken Wings, $18.90 for 20 pieces.

IMBA!

 Shrimp Aglio Olio

 Baby Back Ribs

Rib Eye with bourbon sauce

OH and how can one forget to have the famous Roti Ice cream that's like EVERYWHERE on the streets of singapore???!!!! it's been my fave since I can remember!

Since it was our last night as well we decided to check out the Singapore nightlife at least once lah kan

so called Fai up, met up with him at Singapore Management University's bar in front of Chjimes where everyone was watching the ManU game and went to Double O club at Mohammad Sultan's area.

I finally managed to make Zen wear a V-neck tee bought at cotton on and a PLAID SHIRT WAHAHAHA

he was so out of his element lololol

the boys all decked out in Topshop shirts HAHAH gila iklan!

the boys started to crack...one by one while Fai was busy getting numbers wahaha I was dancing non stop lol

and we stayed til the place closed at 4am WAHAHA gila ke tak.

woke up the next morning, started packing and went down for breakfast.

CHEE CHEONG FUNNNN IS LOOVVEEE

photos taken by Zenny:

and Daryl dropped us at harbourfront where we hobo-ed til our departure. I managed to buy a few stuff to bring back and Zen bought back the special edition FHM HAHAHA typical boys.

we decided to camwhore with the cover...so who do you think is the sexiest? LOL

wahah I grabben Zen's non existent C-cup!

and tidbits bought:

and that's all for our trip to Singapore in Dec 2009.

So these were my purchases for the Singapore Trip:

3 pairs of shoes,
1 denim blazer,
3 bangles,
1 bag,
2 belts,
1 studded headband (missing in the photo lol)

not much, but oh well  =)

  7. nope. there's no such thing as a fully halal place darling. even those places that serves halal poultry tapi serve also (e.g chilli's) pun spatutnya tak halal kan? but yeah in sgpore just be careful la that's all i can say, it's up to your discretion sbb some of the food u see here was ordered by my chinese friends and might contain pork so i dont eat some of it.
