Digital Wednesday March Edn

Advertlets' 3rd anniversary coincides with the 11th installment of Digital Wednesday for 2010 so we, at Advertlets thought "why not, just do a presenting sponsorship this time around?" so on 3rd of March, which is on Zen's birthday as well, we cracked our heads on to organize the DW.

Digital Wednesday is a gathering for all the digital media industry people where they mingle after work, party and exchange information, which is a good venue for you to build up your contacts.

Josh and I pre-ordered the pens like a week before, thank God they could do it even last minute because normally it takes longer than that for printing. Rebecca ordered the cupcakes from A Taste Boutique and there's sachets of Biotherm Men's moisturizer for the lads in the goodie bag. Only God knows (and also some passerby) how crazy it was for me. Rebecca and Josh had to finish some proposals and since I came from uni, I picked up the cupcakes in Sunway Pyramid first, then I went to Atria to look for the paper bags, but they had no stock. So I figured, fuck this la go pick up pen first in Bandar Sri Damansara, and on the way, last minute, I figured might as well ask around on how to drop by at SSF to look for paperbags. SUPER last minute, but Alhamdulillah, everything was put together just a couple of hours before the event.

and they all fit perfectly in these cute tiny bags  =)

Oh, and highlight of the day for me was when I went to Atria mall to look for these pretty little paper bags.

conversation went something like this:

Me: (goes up to salesgirl) Excuse me, can you help me with something over here?

Salesgirl: (smiles and follows)

Me: Do you have this paper bag in big quantities? I need a 100 pcs.

Salesgirl: (smiles) dunno. (went back to her desk)

Me:  0_o  (what the eff?!? ok whatever, proceed to look for more underneath a pile of paperbags.

Salesgirl: (came back, stood and watched me go through the pile) *smiles*

Me: (Pissed off) Are these the only stocks you have here?

Salesgirl: (smiles)

Me:  0_o"

Me: excuse me, do you have anymore of these in your store? Can you please check for me?

Salesgirl: cannot.

Me: And why is that so.

Salesgirl: No store.

Me: aiyayay

Me: Can you call your manager? I need this in big quantities.

Salesgirl: cannot. (left stood at one corner and came back smiling)

Me: Excuse me, can you call your manager?

Salesgirl: Cannot.

Me: Why?

Salesgirl: I don't know how.

*faints, dies*

We kicked off the night with an opening speech from Belinda Chee who's also an Advertlets' blogger

and passed on to Josh

This is the toughest crowd as far as I've seen. If you manage to get their attention, respecto!

and I thought Andrea did well in getting their attention for the next agenda in line - the Drinking game.

Andrea chose 4 strong men who was in the running to win a Biotherm Men hamper worth RM300 thanks to Jacy from Loreal.

And no, that was no easy task. Rebecca and I asked the bartender to mix something crazy and they put in a concoction of beer, fruit juices and tabasco, stirred it up and it was frothing! super disgusting kalah wheatgrass yang fresh fresh punya *barf*

Let the games begin!

I thought it's gonna be hard for them but they finished it in seconds! wtf!

The party continued til 2am for us. I was super tired I sat outside instead, and camwhored! lol
