How iTalk saved me

The first weekend of May, I was actually flown to Singapore to attend the Audi Fashion Festival. Without knowing that my telco would not activate an auto-roaming I just went along without thinking that my phone cannot be used. I was actually oblivious to the fact that I had to register for roaming since it was my second time using postpaid, and it’s my first time roaming with one.

So when I arrived in Singapore, I turned on my phone and to my horror, I could not receive any signals!!!! *gasp*

HOW TO CALL MY PARENTS?! HOW TO TEXT OUT IN CASE OF EMERGENCY?!?!

HOW TO TWEET??!?!?!??!??!?!?!

Luckily, the hotel provided free Wifi service BUT I still have to contact someone just to let them know that I have landed safely. So, I whipped out my laptop, sat on my super fluffy and comfy bed and I was frantically finding ways to text Zen and ask him to help text my parents.

Knowing Zen, he doesn’t actually check twitter all the time. So, I still needed to text him and thanks to God that some invincible hammer knocked my head and said “Woman, you have iTalk Whoa! to text!!!”

Yes, it seemed like the light of heaven shined on me with a chorus of harp playing in the background there.

I went on iTalk Whoa and tried sending a text message and it went through!!

I can actually send a message from my laptop in Singapore to any number in Malaysia at the lowest rate possible and it saved my life (and my ass) from getting scolding from the parental unit for not letting them know that I’ve arrived.

And it only costed me so little! If I knew that call rates internationally through TM iTalk were so cheap I would’ve bugged Zen to even get top up for me.
iTalk Whoa! really saved me this time until I managed to contact @Digi_Telco to activate my roaming for me  =D
