So here we are again, on another installment of my very fashionable trip to Audi Fashion Fest in Singapore sponsored by YourSingapore. Be a fan on their facebook page here and maybe, you could win a trip to Singapore by joining their contests.
ok, back to the trip.
I think there were a few times that I had difficulties trying to get out of the super fluffy and comfortable bed in Studio M, and the first evening in Singapore was one of them. My plan to head down to Hooters for chicken wings had to be canceled too cause I was too lazy to move. I had a couple of hours to freshen up before I started freaking out on what to wear. I packed at the very last minute, leaving me with a huge baggage with very little choice. Not a smart move.
Note to self: plans two weeks ahead (which I doubt will ever happen)
I settled down with a pink 'Nyonya Kebaya' but I paired them with an all-black bandage inners and my favourite ankle boots.

It was, obviously, not the best choice of outfit to wear at a fashion show, but considering that it was my first time, I'd rather be neutral than to be OTT and feel awkward later on.
AND, there is a story behind the kebaya.
That particular piece of kebaya (I have two of them), was not bought. It was handmade by my own lovely grandmother when she was about 25 years old, making that piece 50 years of age this year. Well kept and still strong despite the numerous washings, every detail, even the flowers were sewn by her from scratch according to her body measurement (it's abit tight on me -_-" ) and it has since been passed down to my mother and now to me, and I'm very very very proud of it. And it is also because my grandmother, being a single parent, raised my mother with sewing clothes for people. And if I'm lucky enough, she said she will make my engagement kebaya (which she has started on already) before she passes on.
=)
ok, that's a long story.
back to the show now.
We arrived at the tent for 'Legendary Tiffany Style. Fashion by Herve Leger' show, and greeted with cocktails, mocktails and the smell of wine and champagne that wafts through the waiting room. There were a sea of photographers and stylish people, all dressed to the nines. Oh boy, what did I get myself into? I'm still not up to par with these people, and I admit that it was a very good place for observation.
We were seated right smack at the start of the runway, three rows behind. awesome view, but not too awesome for photos. But fret not, for there are press releases!!!!! wahahahaha
The show started with a display of the designer and their collections, worn by Hollywood A-Listers and also in their campaign. So, it was a showcase of their best of the best collection. And the models were dressed in Herve Leger to complement the polished, sexy look.

Loved the whole concept of luxury when Herve Leger paired with Tiffany's.
Mind you, the dresses starts at RM6k and above here in Kuala Lumpur. Something that I'll be able to afford, only if I become a 'Tai tai' (rich old lady) =P
I've always wanted a Herve Leger ever since I saw Victoria Beckham wearing the purple and silver one -_-"
and the Marketing Mnager of Herve Leger, whom I met after the show, just HAD to tell me that they're having a 50% off sale at their flagship store in Singapore. Yea, sure, and my own father will murder me for spending RM3k on a piece of dress -_-"
here are some of the shots, taken from AudiFashionFestival.com
this dress below, was the last dress to come out, and the model had a graceful, slow walk down the runway, cause I heard that it weighs 6kgs!!!
After the show, we went to Takashimaya, just cause its right next to Ngee Ann City just so that I can have my chicken skin yakitori fix from ToriQ!!!! happy tummy, happy Hanie =)
and off to the next show
