Micro-mini for the GT

For the past few years I think I went to a couple of GT races in Sepang and I’ve always cringed when I see the GT Queens’ costumes. OWKAY! I know what you’re thinking, I don’t have that dangling thing in my pants so I might not have enjoyed the whole skin parade. If you don’t know what a GT girl is, here are examples of how they usually look like:

Oh no, don’t worry they don’t come looking like this:

or even like this:

A combo of both would be even worse, wouldn’t it?  0_o

Nevermind, let’s get back to the story. So if you know who are the GT girls, I bet you know how their costume looks like, right? Lemme refresh your memory here.

yea I wish they come in that package too  -_-“

Or even the bad ones, like this

Errr yeah  0_o

So have you ever wished that you can design and change how the GT Queen’s costumes look like?I stumbled across this competition the other day and thought some of you with design skills would like to join cause you don’t get to design for Japan GT Queens any other time.

Here’s the flyer I found regarding the competition,

“Once again Sepang International Circuit will be hosting a world class race “The SuperGT International Series Malaysia 2010” which will be held from 19th to 20th June 2010. As a new initiative by Sepang International Circuit in promoting The SuperGT and local talent, we have come up with a contest for young inspired designers.

Retaining to the above mentioned matter, SIC is organizing a costume design contest for the SuperGT ambassador. We seek for the best costume design to be worn by the Malaysian SuperGT ambassador during the race weekend. The winner will also stand a chance to win RM2000 in cash, a pair of GT club passes and other prizes from our sponsors and GT Association.”

And here are the details that follow:
1.    This competition consists of a contest to design a costume for GT Girls Ambassador
2.    You must be 18 years old or over on the closing date
3.    All designs must be submitted via email to pr@sepangcircuit.com.my
4.    All designs must be original and any copy of designs from anywhere will deemed the entry to be void
5.    The dateline of the competition is at 5pm on 25th May 2010. Results of top 10 finalists will be announced on Sepang International Circuit website at www.sepangcircuit.com.my on 28th May 2010. Sepang International Circuit reserves the discretion to extend the dateline of the competition. Any revision of the dateline will be announced on the Sepang International Circuit website.
6.    Top 10 finalists will be given RM500 to produce the complete designed costume (ie: from top to toe) which will be judged by 3 panels of professional judges appointed by Sepang International Circuit, during the final fashion show on 5th June 2010. Finalists are also required to bring their own models.

Oh, and here are tips to work on before submitting your designs:
•    A strong imaginative design which are modern
•    All designs must incorporate Sepang International Circuit official color, ie: Red, white and black
•    The length of the costume must not be more than 6 inches from the knee and must not reveal full décolletage.
•    2-piece costumes are allowed.
•    The design must be from top to toe

Why not get you sketch books and colour pens now and you could win these prizes, ahem design students!  ;P

•    FIRST PRIZE:
i.    RM 2000 cash
ii.    A pair of GT club passes
iii.    Hamper & vouchers worth RM2000

•    SECOND PRIZE:
i.    2 pairs of Grandstand tickets
