Lucky that I have friends like all of you, if not, this wouldn't even be real =)
For the first time in my life, I hopped onto the plane without knowing who I'd be meeting at the other end. Usually, I would see familiar faces greeting me at the airport but this time around, new faces from the STB, Emmeline and Shawn were the ones who were waiting for us at the arrival hall.
I was very lucky to have two other lovely ladies accompanying me, Jessica Ling and JoycetheFairy, cause I admit that I was kind of scared that I won't fit in, and be the lame person the I am, cracking lame jokes and annoy other people -_-"
And the other, two from Melbourne, LadyMelbourne and The Frockette, were also a delight to be hanging out with. I feel so humbled to have seen their strong personal styles and how they carry themselves and I realize that I still have a long way to go and a lot more to learn in this industry =)
I am now on the journey (inspired form the trip, or maybe it's just another shopping itch/phase hahaha) to search for my own personal style. It is going to be hard, cause I love experimenting with different looks everytime, but something has to be a signature.
OK, let's cut the crap and go back to where I was.
We were shipped off ala ANTM (you know, with the big white van) to our swanky, brand-new hotel rooms, Studio M on Nanson Rd, located just behind Boat Quay. It was so near to Hooters that I regret now for not going down at night to just have their chicken wings T_T
With a chandelier as big as this, and clean, smooth, lacquered front desk, Studio M gave me the impression that I should be expecting minimalism but with a touch of luxury in their rooms.
And boy, was I in awe when they showed me the room. From the door, it looked like the size of a peanut but once you get in, the high ceiling compensates the tiny space at the entrance with the loft style as a twist. It's the kind of room that I've always dreamed of.
The sunlight was always at a perfect setting and it definitely gave me the Manhattan vibe.
and that's the study area that I never actually hung out at, cause the bed was just too comfortable that I couldn't stop rolling in it hahaha
Will definitely come back, with an opening promo that starts from SGD160++
best time to coax dad for a trip down south again =P
Don't stop reading, cause I've got Tifanny & Co's show with tons of Herve Leger's bandage goodies in my next post =)
