Japan Super GT Day 2 - Race Day from Paddock

WARNING: photo overload. If your internet is super slow, I'm sorry.

Day 2 of Japan Super GT in Sepang, I went and picked Marcus up and headed straight to Sepang International Circuit. We were half an hour behind...at 10 freaking a.m ok! I've never been to SIC THAT early in my whole life of attending races..EVER! But apparently since we have the all-round passes, there were many activities that were lined up for us. Plus, why wanna waste all the free flow of food, drinks etc! lol

oh, and I drove the GT car, to the Super GT haha finarryyyy!

First thing we did when we arrived, check out the cars at their pits behind the tracks (not the main race)

below are the Sciroccos for the Scirocco Cup:

Dad's dream car noms:

Marcus went all finger-trigger happy:

We were hoping that it was gonna rain, so we'd see some "action" and also cause it's too hot (I was sweating balls, even though I don't have any =P )

This is the hangar for the GT500 division cars. Marcus and I went on Lambo and Porsche overdose.

We were kinda rushing when we went for the Circuit Safari which was included with the passes.

Circuit Safari is a bus trip on the track itself while the cars practice so we were like on a bus that were going 60-80k/m on bends (they were apparently trained to drive on track while the cars are zooming past) while the cars around us pass by. Some cars came real close, you know it was like those Jaws ride at Universal Studios where they suddenly pop up right beside you. So yeah, a new thrill ride for those who are willing to pay extra for this kind of experience.

ps: come back soon on this space after I've uploaded the videos
(follow me on twitter for the updates - @haniehidayah)

I even managed to snap photos of some parts of the Sepang track, such as the Grand Stand below! :

One car spun so we had to cut the trip short and headed back to the designated rooms for lunch.

They served buffets of really nice food, desserts and free flow soft drinks and beer. Oh and they had aircond, which was God sent especially in Sepang  -_-"

At about 1pm we were called down again, to go on the PitWalk session. There were tons of people and these photographers doesn't really give face. Oh well, I guess everyone really wanted to get their perfect shots. So did I  =P

Some people can be inconsiderate, but then again, winners gain so what we had to do was to just push ourselves through. After years of training at raves and concerts, I think I managed that quite well. But some were such sweethearts, they helped me go through and one even gave me a fan! The SIC people were very very helpful cause we were running around like headless chickens and they directed and led us here and there, made sure we didn't miss anything.

Some were giving out signed posters

Owkay NOW is the time that EVERYONE has been waiting fooorrrrrr....

It's the GT girls on the pits!

Maaf yea, this last one local mari. Indo woman sesat di Sepang.
Kerja: pegang signboard  =D

safety car also must take!

one car hit another, and the bumper came off etc, they had to stop on the side hahaha

and see how they just dumped the bumper on the hood? hahahahhaha

Went back in after I was super drenched like I just entered a wet t-shirt contest lol and went back out for the Grid Walk instead for the GT300 race, the final one.

Teams were doing final checks on their cars before take off

OK fine, I know you guys just wanna see girls here -_-"

and TRUST ME, the Malaysian main babes trumps out the Jap girls anytime!

I spot Yvonne Sim there (2nd on the right). And the outfits they're wearing were designed by the contest winner, Sara Ayumi for Carven Institute.

Before we left, Marcus wanted to go on the roof (hence my sunburn now lol) to snap photos. I whipped out my 70-300mm lens and tried to do panning but failed hahaha oh well, not bad ah for a first timer. Summore it was fully MANUAL FOCUS ok don't mess wei

winner:

these are photos taken from Marcus' camera of me looking like a walking mop, all drenched in sweat, stinky and sticky nom nom hahaha

Oh and there was an R8 parked right opposite us. Jakun time!

Hope you guys enjoy my photos. Need feedback to improve!
til the next race! (ahem moto GP)
