Truth to be told, I've never had smooth and flawless skin but lucky for me, my skintone hides most of the blemishes from being so apparent with some help from the cosmetics department. I never really thought of actually going for facials, right until recently at the RHB Bank photoshoot that the makeup artist said that I need to go for facials to remove dead skin cells. So all these while, I thought that the foundation refused to seep into my skin because of the dryness, but I found out that it was because of the layer of thick dead skin cells that prevented the foundation from blending with my skin.
Oh, and yes, just in case you've missed it, here's a caption of my RHB print ad out in newspapers recently:
Lucky for me, Celmonze invited Advertlets bloggers (including yours truly) to experience and try out the facial that costs RM598 ourselves so I jumped into the opportunity to have great and healthier looking skin.
I was there early so we sort of lingered around and had a mini tour of the two-storey lot.
When the time came, we registered for the goodie bags and media kits.
Local celebrities such as Chantelle Chuah, Daniella Sya, Chermaine Poo and Prema Yin joined 10 bloggers in the private event organized by Monz Beauty & Soul.
At the launch, GENETIQUE was demonstrated by Celmonze's training manager, Adealine Wong on the guinea pig = me!
Bloggers and the invited celebs witnessed how the breakthrough product would be applied and the results after the mini facial session. All the bloggers received complimentary facial treatments =)
What is GENETIQUE?
Genetique Stem Cell Synthesis is a potent youth- extension beauty solution based on nature's DNA, a regenerative plant stem cell extract from a rare Swiss Apple, the Uttwiler Spatlauber which can be found ONLY in Switzerland where at one point, only three of this endangered apple tree species remained. Vogue magazine dubbed the rare fruit as the "Super Apple", as it has a regenerative ability to heal skin if puncture while still on the tree. Once it's harvested, it can outlast normal apples by months!
As we grow older, our skin's ability to regenerate slows down and elasticities by the collagen reduces and this leads to sagging, wrinkles and lines around the creases of the face. Add to that daily activities, stress, pollution and other chemicals, your skin's aging process will speed up.
Celmonze, which means 'Cell Reborn' was established in Paris in 1980, by a team of specialists who have had 10 years of research and development in the cosmetology industry around the world.
I've tried the facial myself and it was superb! Trust me, all these while, I've been avoiding facials due to the fact that most facials uses extraction method (removing blackhead and whiteheads by applying pressure) which would be super painful but this one (not to mention that it's costly), uses a simple concentrate that smoothens and softens the white and blackhead instead so that they'd be removed naturally using abrasion or using scrub.
If you don't believe me, you should try it yourself!
my no make-up face...again! haha
By the way, Celmonze is giving out Free Treatment for winners of their Facebook contests. Folow them here, who knows you might be the lucky one!

If you were there during the DKNYxBelvedere: Fashion Meets Music fashion show in TUDM Sungai Besi, you have probably tasted the signature drinks served by the waiters at the show. 3 Signature drinks chosen by yours truly, Bell Wong, Don Don and the strong ladies of Belvedere Malaysia and mixed by a Thai Chanond Purananda from Flow Cocktail Ltd. Lucky, I must say, to be able to join them for a chat at Bakita in Changkat Bukit Bintang over dinner and received some insights on the anticipated Runway show that happened last Friday.
I was rushing around from work to second guess my outfit coordination and trust me, changing in the car is a skill by the ladies that can never be explained. Came out, rushed to the loo and yeah well, I looked like that -_-"
so plain compared to the rest of the girls that attended the show ='(
photos were all taken using the Samsung ST600, enjoy!:
The usual wall entrance photo:

The runway seating placement was brilliant cause it gave everyone a good view of the garments instead of the usual bench-like views. I used to sit at the second row during Audi Fashion Week and this time, it's front row view for EVERYONE!!! yeay!
look who came and hung out with me...none other than makcik Juliana Evans who's always busy shooting hmph -_-"
ok la maybe I'm busier =P
The collection for Fall/Winter are usually very monotonous in term of hues and the collection by DKNY was no exception to that. Dark, earthy, metallics were the base but the magic lies in the detailing and cuts of the outfit. Here are some of my ultimate favourite in the collection shown. They are wearable here in Malaysia but at the same time very New York chic.
Here's a video recap of the final run, showing all of the collection. Shot with the nifty little Samsung ST600 (gonna do a review about it soon!) and edited by Point8cam.
