Sometimes, being a Cheapskate is a good thing

Most of us are ashamed to admit that we're cheapskates. But I'd like to rephrase that and tell you that it is a good thing sometimes, cause it means, buying smart. Being a cheapskate does not mean that you're being a sleazy kampung feller that argues to buy things at cost price but it means that you're buying things at the advantage of economies of scale. The more people buy it, the cheaper it becomes as it's being produced in bulks! (Economic knowledge kicking in)

Ok la I'm not actually here to tell you why you should be a cheapskate cause later people will say I'm teaching my readers to be kiasu. Don't get me wrong though but these days, things are getting more expensive and we have to start buying smart. The buying pattern has also shifted as consumers tend to fulfill their needs first before getting what they want. So if you get to buy things at a cheaper price, not only that you have more to save, you will have more to spend on other things too! People always have this perception that bulk discounts are for people who can't afford to buy the real deal. Well, I know older women, who will buy fruits in a huge container and share among their group and only pay a fraction of the normal price. She used the extra money to buy other household supplies. Smart or not?

But being a cheapskate isn't always a bad thing, especially when it benefits you in terms of giving back.

A group buying services company like Cheapskate provides access to great deals at the most exclusive places to eat, exercise, shop and relax so you can maintain that new age lifestyle without being broke. You know la how some people don't mind being broke as long as they could maintain that luxurious lifestyle. That's NOT the way to live people! So they bigger the collective group is, the bigger their buying power will be as more clients will be attracted to sell their products at a lower price as they could also produce at economies of scale. That how collective buying works.

Anyways, I'm here to tell you that Cheapskate.com.my will be launching on the 22nd of April, and are currently hosting a competition for the most number of referrals. They've got RM5000 in cash to give away to members who bring in the most number of referrals. All you need to do is:

  1. The prices are definitely raising in such i way that now, whenever i ask for the price of something, i feel as if they answer me joking. Then i realize they are actually hoping me to pay 5 times more than the real value of the item i want to buy.
