Weekenders Guide to Holiday Villa Cherating & Sand-Sculpting

God knows how I love roadtrips. The drive to the destination, the food in between, the photos taken and the fun little crazy things you do would be almost perfect if you got the right people to be with you. I love figuring out roads, eating and singing to songs in the car, and pulling out my camera and just see the things surrounding us while on the way. That's why, when Advertlets told me, they're going to Cherating and since point8cam is going as well, I totally said yes! hahaha Plus, I really needed the getaway after a few hectic months of studying and working.

We left earlier since he wanted breakfast and there's tons of camera equipment to load off once we reach and set up for the bloggers.

Once we got there, we were given a tour of the Holiday Villa hotel and spa in Cherating. Lovely place. You get to choose whether you want normal rooms, normal chalets ORRRR you can opt for a villa type of a chalet (which has their own private swimming pool to get frisky if you're on a honeymoon heheh)

Wai Kit trynna be cameraman for a day  =P

Not only that the rooms are clean, comfortable, air-conditioning is awesome, but the service they provide with the rooms are ace! Staff are friendly and attentive, although there were lack of them in quantity to serve us during that particular weekend. Prolly one of the busiest weekend they've had in a while! haha

The main reason we were there, was for the annual Sand-Sculpting competition at the beach! Advertlets bloggers took part and unfortunately, we weren't up to par with some of these professionals. Theme for this year was Animal Kingdom, and we had some zoo action going on the sands of Cherating with awesome sculptures. Check out what others sculpted within a mere two hours. Impressive, no?

This was my personal fave, lion at the front...

And snake, shark at the back!

We were treated to scrumptious buffet spread at every meal, and the choices were super! Food was ace. Not the best but all of us ate quite an amount at each meal since there were so many to choose from so don't worry about having to find food around the area. Holiday Villa's got it all. Here are some food photos to make you salivate ;)

Since we were gonna leave, I went back to my chalet, packed up, took a few photos with the bloggers and left Holiday Villa, hoping to come back, perhaps, to the chalet with the private pool heheh =P

If you're thinking of what else to do other than basking under the sun in Cherating, you can even take a half hour drive down to the town of Kuantan and chill at Telok Chempedak. It's so different now. Looks much better than last time and it's a nice place to bring your family to. In our case, we were hanging out at Mcdonalds, and shooting point8cam's short skate video. Yep, skated at the beach, while everyone was staring hahaha

Back to civilisation, and phew, what a trip!  =)
