Back from Hong Kong

It has been a week since I first stepped foot onto the MTR again after my previous trip to Hong Kong in 2009. Things haven't changed much, but the feelings were different. Probably the different company I had during the trip made things a little easier. It's easy when you travel with easy-going people and a seasoned one too. This time around, things moved faster than I expected it to be. Probably the pace of Hong Kong citizens have doubled since I last went there. Not to mention that I was chasing time, trying to fit everything I could into the little time frame I had been given. Nowadays, 8-10 days for a trip doesn't feel enough to me. There's actually so much to do and see, beyond what I've planned for. Plus, commuting from one spot to another was a challenge and an adventure on its own. I find it to be more fun that way than having a planned, tour-guided trip.

As much as I love Hong Kong, I wouldn't want to live there. Probably cause I've seen first-hand how people can get lonely in such a big city that never sleeps. Maybe, just maybe, I need a longer time to familiarize myself. I wish I had more time to everything though, so I can enjoy every breeze, every sip of coffee, every train stops, every movement and every sound the city makes.

Time (and the super cold 14 degrees weather) was my biggest enemy thus it is my biggest regret to let you guys know that I won't have any videos for this trip like the one I made for South America but let's wait if point8cam can cook up something from his footage.
