Soaring in the sky

I miss having Sundays like these - with people close to me, just doing fun, new things. I don't think I ever flew a kite before this and point8cam had always been so psyched about bringing me to this place in Taman Metropolitan, Kepong. I mean, the areas where I grew up wasn't really a kite-friendly place, and plus I wasn't the type that was exposed to outdoorsy activities when I was younger, just cause my family isn't really the outdoorsy type. Funny enough, that I'm the only one in the family that LOVES the beach, ocean and all other adrenaline pumping stuff. 

point8cam, on the other hand, grew up in London then Miri, Sarawak so he told me about his place in London, where he learned how to skate and walking to school while in Miri, it was such a carefree and chilled out place by the beach. So he's pretty much an outdoor kind of person, and obviously he used to fly kites a lot during his teen years. He was quite a pro still, judging from how easy it was for him to make the kite soar and it was apparent from the way he pulls the strings.

Anyways, it's nice to know that his children would be pretty lucky to have a dad that can do almost anything. Like, seriously anything. I'm lucky enough to have a very, very handy partner. From fixing cars, to computers to household stuff, creative and super reliable, I can't ask for more. Okay, maybe if he can cook a 5 course meal it'll be MAJOR but that's really pushing it lol. And I think he'll be an awesome dad due to his outdoorsy nature. I think everyone should, rather than bring your kids to the malls every weekend, try something new, preferably outdoors. Your children will thank you in the future, like he does ;)
