Casio Exilim ZR20 - Pop Color & Blurred Background

If you know me well, you'd know that I'm very particular with my cameras. It must have certain functions and I'm also a very detailed person when it comes to feel and look of anything that I do. I haven't been interested in a compact digital camera for a very long time ever since I changed to a DSLR and now a Micro Four Thirds but since I currently acquired a new compact camera, not only that I've been snapping more photos, I'm also having fun while doing so. There's tons of stuff that this nifty little camera can do. It feels almost like having a camera app, in a camera! (that means better quality photos than using a phone camera)

I've yet to try out all the functions, but I'll keep blogging about it once I've managed to capture nice photos.

Just to give you guys a brief intro of what it can do, here's the Soft Focus mode, which gives an ethereal glow so you don't really need the glow tool in Photoshop. Plus, I could take self-portraits even without makeup. You'll rarely look bad with the glow effect.

My next favorite function of the camera would be the Toy Camera mode. If you're familiar with Toy Cams, I think you'd like this one. It's also one of the quickest ways for me to have a quirky color without having to do post-editing.

Was waiting for point8cam to go out for dinner and found this Squidgee outside on our car! Pretty sharp under sufficient lighting, and using a Blur Background mode. Love how crisp it is, and it looks like as if I used a pancake lens or a 50mm with the bokehs behind the main subject just that, I didn't need to buy/change lenses to get this effect.

The other night, I decided to actually test out the Pop Color and Blurred Background mode so I took some photos in my room of the most striking things. Best thing about this camera is that you can choose the level of intensity for each mode with a simple click of a button!

First off, is my H&M faux snake skin purse and my cookbook on NORMAL mode. You will notice how the intensity of the saturation actually increases with each level, depending on your preference.

Here it is on Pop Color mode - Level 1:

Here it is in Pop Colour mode - Level 2:

Pop Color mode - Level 3:

I wanna experiment this mode with more subject such as pencil colors and other colorful stuff! =P

Oh, and I tried the Blurred Background mode too, in level 1 (In normal mode, there will be no bokeh, the photo will be a flat one with no depth):

Level 2:

And Level 3:

Pretty kan??? I love this camera so much that I'm telling you guys a little secret alright? ^.^
