Sloggi in Cotton Candy Land: My secret to staying fresh!

Brassieres, or also known in their contemporary term, bra is a word that spurs out images of a piece of undergarment in various shapes, sizes, colors and material to support the bosom of a woman. In short, history has shown that women have been using these brassieres as a cover-up, breast support and even as fashion statement. I personally think, on the other hand, that whoever invented bras is a genius! Can you imagine if women nowadays are walking around with breasts sagging down to their tummies, and if that is even considered attractive? Not to mention that how rude would it be if we, women were pointing at almost everything in front of us all the time, or when it’s cold? (I’m not talking about finger pointing here in case if you missed the boat).

With all the choices in the world, we can now choose to have lingerie or brassieres from all kinds of labels, colors, designs, material and for various reasons – fashion, comfort, and to some people, like me who feels that bras are a woman’s need instead of a want. I can NEVER ever go out of the house without a bra on, unless if I’m in my swimwear of course, else I would feel very… free and ‘unsupported’. I guess it’s just my preference and also prevention from aging with gravity. Whatever that goes up, must come down, so as you grow older, if you don’t take preventive measures, it will be a battle for you to defy the downward pull by nature.  

Anyways, I think what’s most important for me, especially in my nature of hectic lifestyle would be the one thing that most girls tend to overlook – COMFORT. My usual routine would usually start in the morning all the way to midnight so wearing a good pair of lingerie is crucial for me to feel good all day long. When you feel good, of course you would look good and be less conscious or uncomfortable in your outfit. My biggest pet peeve would be bras that pokes into my skin, coarse material that gives me a friction sore and even panties that rolls up when I move! I can never thank the person who invented bras enough, but whoever that invented sloggi bras, especially for this Cotton Candy Land collection, is a G-E-N-I-U-S.

I remember when I first bought my sloggi bra as a teenager. Nothing, I repeat, nothing could give me the same amount of comfort with pretty designs such as sloggi, even after all these years! I swear by sloggi’s comfortable bras that keeps me going and feeling fresh all these years of being active with school, college and work.

Getting the right fitting bra was a love-hate constant battle, and I’m always driven to actually get something that looks nice instead of finding something that really fits. With sloggi, I can now find something that fits comfortably and looks good at the same time! So recently I dropped by at Jusco in One Utama for a stroll and dropped by at the sloggi counter again, just cause I was intrigued by this bright bubblegum display at the front. I browsed, fell in love with two designs and even asked if I could try them on. The super helpful sloggi bra specialist even helped me to find my correct size so all these years, I’ve been stuffing my two girls into what I thought was a 34B like the Christmas Turkey! No wonder I always felt like my chest are heavy at times, like it’s being pressed and sometimes the underwires are uncomfortable to a point where you can see an obvious line on my ribcage. 

Since then I could only imagine how many women are actually wearing the wrong fitting bra! Not to even mention how many are sacrificing comfort just cause the bra looks good! sloggi has just introduced their latest Cotton Candy land collection, which I AB-SO-LUTE-LY love. Not only that they look edible enough to be eaten (please don’t try this at home), they are super duper comfortable and their fit is to the T!

Sloggi in Cotton Candy Land collection is made up of ultra smooth intimates perfect for your everyday wear to provide you both comfort and support no matter what task are up ahead of you on a daily basis. The range consists of yummy array of pastel colors that looks like candy, smooth and seamless intimates for you to look and feel good inside out!

 I love seamless intimates, as most of my outfit needs me to wear seamless bras and panties to avoid a visible line. I even try to avoid lace or anything intricate as I wear mostly smooth material clothing so it wouldn’t look nice if there are patterned bumps on your tee.

Imagine putting marshmallows or cotton candy around your current bra. Yes, that’s what I had in mind all the while I had the bra on with me for the day. THEY ARE SO SOFT it’s almost unreal! There are so many beautiful designs to choose from and I had the best time trying on different bras that it was difficult for me to choose cause I just want them all! =D

The padded cups are lightweight, and there are some with removable paddings so you may choose according to occasions and outfits and they would still be comfortable. This range is perfected to fit your body like a glove, snuggles on your curves with superb softness. It was a perfect fit for me that I could even be confident enough to wear it strapless, as the side panels and hooks were very sturdy on it’s own due to the wide diameter (and three hooks), which I have never had the confidence to do so ever. 

My current favourite would be the Bodysoft. I might be biased cause I love this bra so this is the PERFECT bra for me. Their non-pressure and extra soft side bones are perfectly crafted to give maximum comfort and support and it feels like you’re not wearing a bra. It is so lightweight and you won’t feel restricted like any other bras. Not to mention that I actually fell in love with the color at first sight! The Bodysoft is designed to gently ‘hug’ your body with a soft feel and will snuggly fit you all day long. Bras in this range are made using non-pressure under-wire and extra soft side support bones for greater comfort and freedom of movement. True to its words, I took out the straps for the night, risking the embarrassment if my bra drops to my tummy but surprisingly, it stayed all night long after dancing and walking about town for dinner, desserts and drinks after!

I wore Invisible sense on the next day with my new favorite dress. Since my dress is light in color, it couldn’t have been more perfect that my everyday bra was in nude. The biggest mistake people do when wearing light colored clothing or even white, is to wear a white bra instead of nude (skin color). I learned this mistake years back when I saw my photos in a white tee, with two HID lights as bright as my current car staring to myself in a photo -_-

Anyways, the nude color was just perfect for this dress, what more when it matches my other accessories and shoes. Fits my color coordination of tan, nude and earthy tones.

Anyways, the Invisible sense bra is just super comfortable, I can wear them everyday! Not only that you’d look and feel good in the Everyday bra, it is SO lightweight, you would forget that you’re even wearing a bra! I can haz free body movement without worrying about my twins!

Oh, and shall I now start about the panties? I love lovelovelovelove their panties. I’m a very picky person when it comes to buying panties as I wear a lot of clingy or tight materials thus I need panties which will not give me a VPL, a huge no-no for every fashionista. They are super comfortable, the material stretches and feels like rib knitted sweaters around your bum, and it is every bit of softness there is from a cotton candy! The Comfort Briefs are a must-have for every active girl out there. 

Now I know how Katy Perry feels like to be in the nude lying down on a bed of cotton candy cloud. So soft, I can even sleep in it =P

Okay, maybe the closest softness I could feel to lying down on a bed of cotton candy would be the sloggi bras and even point8cam’s cat agrees so!
